T he use of infant or child restraints is
required by law in all 50 states and all
C anadian provinces.
Infants and sm all children should be
seated in an infant o r child restraint
system , w hich is pro pe rly secu red by
a lap belt or lap belt portion of a lap-
sho ulder belt, and th a t c om p lie s with
U.S. Federal M otor V eh icle S afe ty
S tandard 213 and C anadian M otor
V ehicle S afety S tan dard 213.1.
