Removing the Battery Pack
To remove the battery pack
VGN-A700 Series models

Turn off your computer and close the LCD screen lid.

Slide the LOCK/UNLOCK switch (1) on the bottom of the computer to the UNLOCK position.

Slide the RELEASE switch (2) on the bottom of the computer to the RELEASE position.
The right edge of the battery compartment cover is pushed up.

Raise the edge to remove the battery compartment cover.

Open the tabs on the battery compartment cover to release the battery and remove it from the battery compartment cover.
6
Insert the two tabs on the battery compartment cover diagonally into the notches and push the cover into the compartment
until it clicks into place.
