Technician notes Warnings, cautions, and notes WARNING: Only authorized technicians trained by Hewlett Packard Enterprise should attempt to repair this equipment. All troubleshooting and repair procedures are detailed to allow only subassembly/module-level repair. Because of the complexity of the individual boards and subassemblies, no one should attempt to make repairs at the component level or to make modifications to any printed wiring board. -

"UTP cable specifications." LEDs The Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 561T Adapter has two ports with LEDs for Link (L) and Activity (A) for each port. A standard-height bracket is shown in the following illustration with ports and LEDs. - Page 7 Item Description Link No link to the adapter is established. The adapter is not receiving power or the cable connection is faulty. Amber: A link to the adapter is established at 1 Gb/s or 100 Mb/s. The adapter is receiving power and the cable connection is good.

NOTE: Before removing the cover of your server, refer to the HPE documentation for the proper methods for installing a PCI Express card and avoiding electric shock hazards. -

5. Firmly seat the adapter in the PCI Express slot. NOTE: For 1U type servers, you might need to replace the standard profile bracket with a low profile bracket. See "Installing a low profile bracket." 6. Install the access panel, and then connect the power cord. Installing a low-profile bracket You might have to install a low-profile bracket to complete the product installation. -
