The SOS application enables you to exchange information with a Sony
Customer Support Representative (CSR). Here's how it works:
Type your name and the problem description in the SOS window.
Dial the SOS hotline with a single click of the mouse.
Specify the access level for the CSR.
The CSR resolves the problem.
Before using SOS, make sure the computer is connected to a phone line as
described in "Connecting a Phone Line" on page 34. If you do not have a
phone line connected to your computer, you can place a voice call to SOS
by dialing 1-888-4SONYPC (1-888-476-6972). SOS support is available at
no charge for 90 days from the original date of purchase.
Click the Start button on the Windows 98 taskbar.
Point to Help Center, point to Step 4 Call SOS, and then click Sony
Online Support (SOS). The SOS window appears.
