Connecting Peripheral Devices

You can add functionality to your computer by connecting any of these
peripherals:
Phone line (page 34)
Port replicator (page 35)
Printer (page 37)
External display (page 38)
External mouse or keyboard (page 40)
Desktop computer or serial device (page 41)
CD-ROM drive (page 43)
External speakers (page 46)
Digital video camera recorder (page 48)
Universal Serial Bus (USB) device (page 49)
Turn off the computer before connecting peripherals. In normal use, you should turn on the
peripherals before turning on the computer. You can connect USB devices while the
computer is on.
Connect the AC adapter only after connecting all cables.
