Basic Operations
The following describes operations frequently used
with this product.
Selecting item
To select displayed item or icon, tap the screen
directly.
Displaying menu
There are a few methods to display a menu, by
tapping " " or by touching and holding an entry field
or item.
Switch setting
When checkbox, radio button or ON/OFF switch
appears at side of setting item, tap check box, radio
button or ON/OFF switch to switch the ON/OFF of the
setting.

Character Entry

To entry character, use the software keyboard.
The software keyboard is displayed by tapping the
input field on the character input screen such as
registering a contact or creating a mail.
* The operation in this chapter is based on the Galaxy
keyboard (English (US)). On the Galaxy keyboard
(Japanese), buttons on the screen, operating procedures,
etc. may be different.
Entering with Galaxy keyboard
In Galaxy keyboard, you can use 3 types of keyboards:
"Qwerty keyboard", "3 x 4 no flick keyboard" and "3 x 4
flick keyboard".
• Qwerty keyboard: It is a keyboard similar to the one
of PC. Japanese is input with romaji (method of
writing Japanese in Roman letters).
Setting is ON.
Setting is OFF.
