MODE DVD/TV switch. Shaded descriptions refer to TV
setting on the switch.
Note
The remote control of the unit employs command signals in
common with other Sony DVD products.
Thus, depending on the button, other Sony DVD products
may respond.
1 TV [/1 (on/standby)
Turns the TV on and off.
2 Z EJECT
Ejects the disc.
3 NAME
Activates the name function.
4 STEREO/MONO
Switches monaural or stereo of FM stereo
reception.
5 MEMORY
Press to store a preset station.
6 CLEAR
Press to return to the Continuous play, etc.
7 PLAY MODE
Selects program or shuffle play mode.
8 AUDIO
Changes the sound while playing a DVD or
VIDEO CD.
9 ANGLE
Changes the angles when playing a DVD.
q; SUBTITLE
Displays the "SUBTITLE" menu in the Control
Menu display.
qa VOL +/–
Adjust the SYSTEM volume. TV : Adjust the TV
volume.
qs ./>, PREV/NEXT, TV CH –/+,
PRESET –/+
./> PREV/NEXT : Press to go to the next
chapter or track or to go back to the previous
chapter or track.
PRESET –/+ : Scan all preset stations.
TV CH –/+ : Select the TV Channel

qd H PLAY/SELECT
Plays a disc.
qf DVD TOP MENU
Displays the title menu on the TV screen.
qg DVD DISPLAY
Displays the Control Menu display on the TV
screen to set or adjust the items.
qh C/X/x/c/ENTER
Selects and executes the items or settings.
qj DVD SETUP
Displays the setup display on the TV screen to set
or adjust the items.
qk 1 (standby)
Turns on and off the power of the system.
ql DIMMER
Changes the brightness of the front panel display
by two steps.
w; TV/VIDEO
Changes the input mode of the TV.
wa REPEAT
Displays the "REPEAT" display on the TV screen.
ws MUTING
Mutes the sound.
wd TIME
Displays the playing time of the disc, etc., on the
front panel display.
wf FUNCTION
Selects the component you want to use.
wg BAND
Selects AM or FM band.
wh Number buttons*
Selects the items of settings.
TV : Selects channel numbers.
wj SOUND FIELD
Selects the sound field.
wk DISPLAY
Switches the item displayed on the front panel
display.
wl ENTER
Executes the items or settings. TV : Press after
selecting a channel number
e; COMMAND MODE DVD TV switch
Switches the TV's input source between the TV
and DVD.
ea m/M, / SLOW, TUNING –/+
m/M (SCAN) : Locate a point while
monitoring the picture while playing disc.
/ SLOW : Play a disc in slow motion in the
pause mode.
TUNING –/+ : Scan all available radio stations.
es x STOP
Stops playing a disc.
ed X PAUSE
Pauses playing a disc.
ef DVD MENU
Displays the DVD menu on the TV screen.
eg O RETURN
Press to return to the previously selected screen, etc.
eh AMP MENU
Displays the speaker set up parameters on the
front panel display.
* Depending on the TV set, you can also enter the number as
follows:
Press >10, then the number. (For example, press >10, then
2 and 5 for entering 25.)
