4.2 Carrying out EMF measurements

1. Switch on instrument and turn slowly the instrument into direction of UUT.
The HDT EMF tester measures on a horizontal axis. As a magnetic field is not
considered homogenous, we advice to move the instrument during measurement
around its horizontal and vertical axes. The highest displayed value has to be
considered.
3. If the measurement value is higher than the measurement range, the instrument will
indicate overload by displaying 'OL'.
Gauss / Tesla
Select the unit of the magnetic field strength Gauss or Tesla by pushing the buttons.
Data Hold
The data hold function stores the measurement value on the display.
Peak Hold
The peak hold function shows the highest value of a measurement series.
