Description of Functions The console set-up functions are explained below. Code numbers 17 and after are selected by selecting code No. 16 in the basic setting items. At code No. 16, one of the following three modes can be selected. Special setting items 1 (Sp.set-1) Code numbers 17-97 can be set.

4-1-4 Maximum frequency The maximum frequency is the upper limit of the reference frequency. Usually, it is the reference frequency under the condition that the external reference analog frequency is 10V. 1) No. 05 Top.F See the reference frequency timing chart shown in figure 1. (maximum frequency) Note: To lower the Top.F setting, data such as Ref(Set).F and PC-Base.F whose upper limit is Top.F must be lowered in advance.
Page 12
4-1-8 Minimum frequency The minimum frquency can be set. The minimum value of the reference frequency is its lower limit. 1) No. 11 Min.F (minimum frequency) 4-1-9 Overload rate setting The inverter and monitor can be protected from overload. When the output current of the inverter exceeds the reference current determined by the overload rate and the rated motor current, the overload protec-...
4-1-11 Start/stop mode selection 1) No. 14 Start.Mode (start mode selection) [1] Min.F start (minimum frequency start)..The inverter is started with the output frequency set as Min.F. Note: When Min.F Start is selected for restarting the inverter after instantaneous power failure, the inverter is restarted at the frequency just before the instantaneous power failure has occurred.
Special Setting Items 1 (Sp.set-1) When SP.set-1 is selected at code No. 16 selection of special setting items in the basic setting items, the func- tions for the following code numbers 17-97 are set. Even when code No. 16 is already set to Sp.set-1, select Sp.set-1 again to set those code numbers.

4-2-3 Boost function 1) No. 22 Boost Mode (boost mode selection) One of the following modes can be selected according to the load characteristics. [1] Manual: Manual boost For the characcteristics, see 4-17 (torque boost setting) and 4-1-10(V/F pattern selection) [2] Auto: Auto boost Auto boost is validated when code No.

2) No. 26 Lim.Torq(P) (torque limit for power side)....The torque limit can be set in the range of 20-150% of the motor torque. 3) No. 27 Lim.Torq(B) (torque limit for braking side).... The torque limit can be set in the range of 0-150% of the motor torque.
Page 17
4-2-8 S-shape acceleration/deceleration setting The output frequency at the time of acceleration/deceleration can be shaped like S. The time for the S-shape curve can be selected from among the four choices (0, 1, 5, and 10 seconds) according to the load. The accel- eration/deceleration time is selected separately.
Page 18
The restart time is usually set to about 1 second and some motors have longer residual time. Set restart time t so that the restart is performed after Vo x 100=30% or below. 4-2-11 Restart after error has occurred When protection oU (DC overvoltage protection) or Fu (fuse of the main circuit is blown) is performed, reset is automatically performed to restart the inverter.

4-2-13 Program operation function 1) No. 45 PGM.Drive (program operation function selection) To perform program operation, set code No. 45 to on. (Code No. 45 is usually set to off.) After setting, press the [START] key at the console to start program operation. To stop program operation press the [STOP] key. 2) No.

4) Program operation acceleration/ deceleration time selection. The acceleration/ deceleration time for code numbers 55-62 can be selected from among the following four choices: (1) Acc1/ Dec1 [Acceleration (1)/ deceleration time (1)] (2) Acc1/ Dec1 [Acceleration (2)/ deceleration time (2)] (3) Acc1/ Dec1 [Acceleration (3)/ deceleration time (3)] (4) Acc1/ Dec1 [Acceleration (4)/ deceleration time (4)] 5) Acceleration/ deceleration time setting...

4-2-15 Multifunction output terminals 1) No. 66 Term-11.Sel (terminal 11) Multifunction items can be output to the four terminals 2) No. 67 Term-13.Sel (terminal 13) shown left. (One of the terminals can be selected.) 3) No.68 Term-15.Sel (terminal 15) 4) No. 69 Term-16.Sel (terminal 16) Register multifunction output items shown in Table 11 at each terminal.
