4. Personal Video Recorder (PVR)

4.1. Brief introduction
PVR function is only available for DTV. It includes Record, Timeshift and Playback functions. Recording inclu-
des In-time recording and timer recording. In-time recording is used through a short-cut key for immediate
recording. Timer recording is used for recording programs later.
Recording and Playback can be done simultaneously This means that recording and playing content from USB
stick can be done together. Timeshift function is another type of recording, where recording and playing can
be done at the same time too.
4.2. PVR menu functions
4.2.1. PVR file system
Enter PVR from CHANNEL menu for following menu:
4.2.1.1. Select disc
Choose the disc to the content your want to record. Default C:
4.2.1.2. Check PVR file system:
Check that there is a storage medium inserted to the system. Choose Enter to check and right key to inspect
the USB file system and speed. Message is shown when checking is performed.
When USB is not inserted or checking fails, an error message is shown
When USB is inserted but don't match MStar Format, enter Format menu.
When USB is inserted but no partition is found, or partition unnormal, an error message is shown
If checking is performed without problems, a success message is shown
4.2.1.3. Format
In Format menu, press OK/Enter or right key to start checking PVR file system. After checking, the formatting
menu is shown. Start formatting to remove content from the file system and to format it.
After formatting, the file system is set to the previously confirmed PVF file system size and type
4.2.1.4. Time shift size
After finishing creating PVR file system, the time shift size settings menu is shown. You can set your your
desired time shift settings for time shift recording and playing
4.2.2. Channel - Recorder list
Enter the menu for recorder list.
