    Position the Ball Place the ES 20/20 facing the ball and golfer. The ball should be placed 11-17 inches in front of the ES 20/20 just off the back foot of the unit. The ball recognition zone is 6x8 inches, so there is no need to get it perfect.

    All Apps tab under the Windows start menu. Bluetooth Connection The ES2020 uses a Bluetooth connection to send shot data to the app. This will require you to go into the Bluetooth settings on your smart device.
  • Page 10 Pair. The device will show connected at first, then show paired after the connection is completed. The ES2020 will connect as needed after this. On initial launch of the app, Windows will ask if Ernest Sports can access your ES 20/20. Click Yes.

    Home Screen Quick Start - Select this option if you do not need the data to be saved. This is a good option to use for a demo of the device. Active User - Select this option if the current user already has a profile.

    Navigation Bar On the left edge of the app are icons that allow movement between the main sections: • Range Session • View Logs • Compare • Tile View • Users Clicking on the icon in the top left corner with 3 parallel lines expands the navigation bar to show names along with the icons.

    Tile View From the left side of the screen select the Tile View icon. This view shows all of the data without the distraction of the ball path display. This view is ideal for outdoor use because it is much easier to see with the glare of the sun.

    Chip & Putt Mode Chip and putt modes are intended for use with simulation software. Please refer to simulation software documentation for details about how the software is used. Chipping is notated by CHP on the top LCD, and putting is notated as PTT on the top LCD.

    Selecting a Club From the top center of the screen select Club. Scroll through the list and select the club you would like to use. That club will then appear on the ES 20/20. Appropriate club selection is needed for storing accurate club statistics.

    Course and Distance Selection From the top center of the screen, select Hole. Under Location, select the course you would like to view. Under Distance to Hole, use the slider to select distance to the pin. Then select Set Distance. Under Rotation, the target line can be aimed to the left or right.

    Compare Feature This feature can be used to compare any different equipment; including, but not limited to, clubs, shafts, balls, swing style, or any other golf equipment. Up to four items can be compared at a time, and they are color coded on the main screen, raw data screen, and comparison screens.

    FIRMWARE UPDATE There are two types of firmware on the ES 20/20. Each can be updated independent of each other. The first firmware is called the Version, displayed as VER on the LCD of the ES 20/20. This version number is also displayed in the bottom right corner of the app.
  • Page 26 Version Firmware Update The version firmware can be updated through the app. In the connections menu (notated by the chain links icon) located in the top right corner, an UPDATE FIRMWARE button appears if one is available. If this button is visible, an update is available for download.

    SoM Firmware Update Download the latest SoM firmware from Ernest Sports. Pay attention to where the file is saved so it can be moved. Copy and paste the file *.img on to your Ernest Sports USB Drive that was included with the ES 20/20.

    Replacing the Battery The battery can be recharged internally from the charging port on the back. There are two indicator lights on the back of the unit. The yellow light indicates that the external power is plugged The red light indicates that the battery is charging.
