    1. Introduction Thank you for choosing Sky911 Skype USB Adapter. After Sky911 is connecting with company PBX trunk line or an analog phone, Sky911 allows you to make traditional landline calls or Skype™ calls, using company desktop phone or a regular analog wired/cordless phone or a DECT phone without having to stay close to your computer for a Skype talk.

    Sky911 setup software into the computer. To install the Sky911 software: After the Sky911 is connected to the computer, it will take up to 15 seconds for the “Found New Hardware” window to appear.

    4.3 Sky911 GUI There are seven choices (Options, About, Check for latest update, Help, Usage scenario setting , IM Mode and Exit) when user clicks Sky911 system tray icon at the right-bottom corner of Windows desktop. Options has all settings for Sky911.
  • Page 26 This setting is most suitable for users in front of the computer when they use Skype gateway for a Skype call. Users can do whatever with the computer connecting with Skype gateway. Sky911 can’t detect Skype GUI correctly since user might control Skype call status window.

If user installs Sky911 in the operation system whose language is not in our supported languages list, then Language will be set to English automatically. The default language is determined by the “Select Setup Language” setting during Sky911 setup program is installing.

    If user attempts to change Sky911's microphone volume from Sounds and Audio Devices in control panel and the volume exceeds Sky911's default value, Sky911 will adjust the volume to its maximum value. Always force Sky911 device as Skype audio Sometimes user wants to use other device as Skype audio temporary and this setting needs to be unchecked or makes the software exit.
  • Page 39 Ring signal frequency selection Here supports four types of ring signal frequency, 20Hz, 25Hz, 30Hz & 50 Hz. User can choose a proper ring signal frequency according to the ring frequency of the phone user adopts. Usually the ring signal frequency adopted in the U.S.A. is 20Hz. The ring signal frequency in Europe is 25Hz.

By selecting a country, the device will activate the specific busy tone frequency and cycle adopted by local Public Switched Telephone Networks in that country.

    4.3.5 Speed Dial Setting Page Skype 8.x doesn’t have any developer API to get Skype contacts information. We suggest user to login Skype 7.x with latest Sky911 software for all your Skype accounts before October 31, 2018 and use Export function in Speed dial page to keep your Skype accounts contact list for future usage in another PC.
  • Page 42 Sky911 Speed Dial page to set speed dial for any Skype user or SkypeOut number. There are up to 5 digits for speed dial setting. User needs to upgrade Sky911 version to 3.0.0.9 or later and do the setting at Speed Dial page. Contact is the name for you to distinguish this contact.

    4.3.6 Call Forward Setting Page No support for Skype 8.x! This page provides two kinds of Call Forward settings including Incoming Skype call and Incoming landline call.
  • Page 44 Incoming Skype call Forward incoming Skype to landline/mobile User can utilize this device remotely to make a landline call through Skype to landline forwarding function or forward any incoming Skype call to the assigned phone number by checking Forward incoming Skype to landline/mobile box.     There is a default Forward prompt wave file( two “Beep” tones) to inform user it is time to place a Skype forward call when Forward to any Skype number box is checked. User can also record personal Forward prompt message in wave file and browse the file to enable it.
  • Page 48 Multi-Call setting & Function key When Multi-Call function is enabled, the function keys for Multi-call are “*1”. Then user can make a one-on-one talk with the maximum of 3 Skype contacts and 1 landline contact( or 4 Skype contacts) during the same period of time. User can switch talk within the reserved Skype/ landline calls by pressing function keys ”*1”.

    The default setting for Conference is enable. Note: 1. After Sky911 multi-call or conference function is enabled, phone keys “*1” or “* 2” will be function keys. When you make a Skype call(especially SkypeOut 800 service calls) and press “*1” or “*2”, this call will be paused. You can press the same keys again to continue the call or continue the call through Skype GUI.

    Default Operation mode: landline Pick up the phone receiver and user can find Sky911 green color LED solid-on. After hearing a familiar landline dial tone, user can make a regular landline call just as user did in the past.
