The Network Override Kit contains:
¥
An ST-LCR 2 Logic-Controlled Relay
¥
One spool of hook-up wire
¥
An Information Sheet
The ST-LCR 2 Logic-Controlled Relay is part of a contact closure cir-
cuit. In the AirPlay MP AFRTS conÞguration, the relay converts a
momentary closure from a Wegner tone decoder to a steady closure.
This circuit controls a Grass Valley Group Performer¨ switcher. The
circuit enables a central, remote network site to send Network Over-
ride and Return to Normal (return to local programming) commands
to the switcher. The override occurs at the most downstream point of
the Avid-supplied equipment.
When the Performer switcher receives a Network Override command,
the switcher output changes to a preselected Network input. The
switcher stays at this Network position until it receives a Return to
Normal command.

AirPlay MP also con- tinues to send switcher commands to the Performer switcher. Because of the Override condition, the switcher does not execute these com- mands, but it keeps track of the latest one it receives.
