You can now do the following
● Start user calibration of the selected channel
-> Button "User calibration"
● Activate the calibration values set by the factory
-> Button "Reset factory setting"
● Cancel the calibration functionality
-> Button "Cancel"
Note
When resetting the current channel to the factory settings, the original calibration values, stored by delivery state of the
module, become valid. Possibly existing user calibration values for the selected channel become invalid. It is not possible to
restore these user calibration values.
User Calibration
With the button "User Calibration", user calibration of the selected channel is started.
The module has to have a 24V load voltage for calibration to be performed.
During user calibration, the required calibration values for the selected channel are determined new for the measuring range
set in parameters for this channel.
You can calibrate in the CPU's RUN mode as well as in the STOP mode. However, it has to be noted that in the CPU's RUN
mode, the module no longer returns correct analog values to your process for the duration of the calibration.
Note
During user calibration, none of the module's channels are able to record new process values.
● All analog input values of the module are set to 0x7FFF ("Invalid analog value") until calibration is ended.
● All channels indicate this state by means of a corresponding channel diagnosis in the second diagnostic type (see
section 1.7 "Diagnostics of the Analog Input SM 331; AI 6 x TC Isolated Module")
The previously selected channel is calibrated by using the displayed calibration screen.
A calibration consists of several individual calibration steps. Within each step, the individual calibration values are
ascertained.
● If an error occurs during a calibration, or if the module is reparameterized, channel calibration is cancelled, and the
channel's calibration values that were active last are active again. All calibration values recorded up to this point in time
are lost. The module processes the current process values again.
● After being started, it is possible to cancel a calibration at any time. Also after cancellation, the calibration values that
were active last become active again, and the calibration values recorded up to this time are lost. The module processes
the current process values again.
