Fault in the AutoDos (automatic dispensing)

Problem
The message 
Insert PowerDisk. Deactiv-
ate AutoDos with OK
pears in the display.
The optical in-operation
indicator light is flash-
ing quickly.
The alarm tone is
sounding.
The programme does
not start or a pro-
gramme that has
already started stops.
The message 
AutoDos lid
appears in the dis-
open
play
The message 
PowerDisk empty. Deactiv-
ate AutoDos with OK.
pears in the display.
The message 
PowerDisk empty. Deactiv-
ate AutoDos with OK.
pears in the display
even though you have
inserted a new
PowerDisk.
Cause and remedy
The AutoDos function is active but no PowerDisk has
been inserted.
ap-
 Insert a PowerDisk (see the "Detergent" chapter,
"Automatic dispensing/AutoDos" section).
 If you do not wish to use automatic dispensing,
deactivate the function using OK.
The AutoDos lid has not been closed properly.
 Close the AutoDos lid and lock it fully (see "Deter-
gent" chapter, "Automatic dispensing/AutoDos"
section).
 If the lid cannot be fully closed, check whether the
PowerDisk holder is lying flat (see "Detergent"
chapter, "Inserting a PowerDisk" section).
 If the same fault message appears again, call the
Miele Customer Service Department.
The AutoDos function is active and the PowerDisk is
empty.
ap-
 Replace the PowerDisk (see the "Detergent"
chapter, "Automatic dispensing/AutoDos" section).
If you do not wish to use automatic dispensing,
deactivate the function using OK.
The dishwasher was switched off when the
PowerDisk was replaced and it has therefore not re-
ap-
cognised the new PowerDisk.
 Switch the dishwasher on before replacing the
PowerDisk (see the "Detergent" chapter, "Auto-
matic dispensing/AutoDos", "Inserting a
PowerDisk" section).
