MONSTER BOX™ Job Site Storage Equipment is intended to provide superior storage security for your tools and
equipment on the job site. It is configured with lifting rings to allow movement by crane with appropriate rigging and
safety precautions. The storage units are rated for 2500 lbs. capacity (including the weight of the storage container). The
MONSTER BOX line is also configured to enable a power cord pass through or accept the Knaack Accessory Resident
Power Supply Box option.
Incorrect use of this product can lead to accidental injury or even death; follow all recommended guidelines when using.

tool storage, there is a possiblity that if your keys are lost or misplaced that unless regestered, you will not be able

- Page 2 LOCKING INSTRUCTIONS Locking/Securing your MONSTER BOX™: Lock Cylinder The MONSTER BOX™ series comes equipped with a drill resistant replaceable lock cylinder and handle assembly. Each unit is supplied with (4) keys. STEPS: 1. To open the lock, insert the key and rotate 90 degrees to the right (Fig. 1). Handle Assembly 2. The recessed handle should pop free from the recess for Figure 1 accessing it (Fig. 2). 3. Grab the handle and rotate to the right to disengage the locking rods. 4. Lift the cover or swing open doors for access as needed. 5. Ensure the lock handle is in the unlatched position before closing the doors or covers to avoid colliding the latch into the latch pin. 6. To lock, simply insert the key and trun left to the locked position and remove the key. Turn the handle to the left and Figure 2...

LIFTING INSTRUCTIONS Preparing MONSTER BOX™ for lifting by crane: WARNING Preparing the MONSTER BOX for lifting by crane: • For SAFE rigging and lifting practices, refer to ASME B30 series; Safety Standard for Cableways, Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Hooks, Jacks, and Slings. (See www.asme.org). • Always inspect the lifting rings to ensure they are in proper working order and are not damaged or corroded. Replace any damaged rings prior to rigging. • Secure doors or lids of box to prevent unwanted opening or spilling of contents. • Plan route of lifted box so that it does not pass over persons. Clear area of persons after box is connected and tension is established. • LIFT ONLY by lifting lugs, DO NOT lift by handles, they are not designed to support heavy loads. • Rig for lifting using all (4) available lifting rings. The load rating is based on using all (4) lifting rings. STEPS: 1. Ensure all internal items are secured and not allowed to shift during transport. Refer to ASME B30 for proper rigging 2. Close lid and or secure all doors in a locked position prior to techniques lifting. 3. Cable tie, hook, or sling with straps along all (4) lifting lugs, as shown. -

REPLACING LIFT RINGS STEPS: 1. Contact Knaack LLC to obtain factory original Lifting Ring lifting ring system for replacement. 2. Each lifting ring has a proof load rating* stamped on the base of the ring; do not substitute with look-a-like components; use only Knaack approved parts. 3. Each lifting ring is secured in place by a pair of Grade 8 socket head cap screws, lock nuts and bearing plates. Caulk evenly 4. Loosen the lock nuts and remove the bolts. under bearing plate to seal ALWAYS REPLACE the hardware with approved Knaack components. 5. Ensure bearing plates are returned to their original configuration. Discarding bearing plates could lead to premature failure. 6. Reassemble and tighten each bolt to 16 ft-lbs of torque. 7. Apply a bead of silicone caulk under the perimeter of the bearing plate, as shown. Cordless Power Tool Battery Chargers- • See Charger’s Owner’s Manual for proper use and care of charger and batteries. Follow all Warnings and Instructions provided with your battery charger. • Place chargers and electrical connections in tray. • Chargers are Dry location use only. Do Not expose to liquid, vapor, or rain. Should your charger become wet, Do Not attempt to use. Unplug extension cord from supply before handling wet charger or cords. • Only use chargers and batteries that are intact and operating properly. • Do Not touch metal prongs when plugging charger into extension cord. • Keep flammable materials like paper or rags away from charger, cords or connections. • Do Not place or attempt to charge lead acid, car type batteries in storage chest. Coming in 2008 Accessory Resident Power Supply The Accessory Resident Power Supply Box can be used with any KNAACK® Job Site Storage Equipment as well as other manufactures of job site equipment. Some job site storage equipment manufactured from 2007 and beyond incorporated knockout features in the container walls to readily accept the Accessory Resident Power Supply box. All other models require punching and drilling mounting holes to accommodate the option. Note: Follow installation instructions included in the Accessory Resident Power Supply Box kit for mounting this option to your Job Site Box Suggested use: The Accessory Resident Power Supply Box can supply simultaneous power to (4) devices so long as the cumulative drawn amperage is 15 amps or less. Typically, this will allow continued charging of battery cells (for tools) in conjunction with medium duty tool operation at the job site box.

695 1000, 1010, 1020 Caster Installation & Replacement: Your job site storage box is equipped to accept optional casters that provide mobility of the unit. The casters are sold in a separate kit and are bolt on capable. Refer to Installation Instructions in Caster Kit for recommended procedure of attachment. WARNING When the moving the MONSTER BOX on ground… • Seek mechanical assistance to move. Optional casters are available to assist in moving the container on firm, level surfaces. • When moving with optional casters, push or pull unit by handles. Move in lengthwise direction only; avoid abrupt transitions that may encourage tipping. LIMITED WARRANTY This LIMITED WARRANTY is made by Knaack LLC, 420 E. Terra. Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, Illinois to the original retail purchaser of KNAACK® or products. KNAACK LLC WARRANTS THAT KNAACK PRODUCTS WILL BE FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE BY THE ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASER.
