Symptom
Vertical streaks appear
when you are shooting a
very bright subject.
You cannot shoot images. • No "Memory Stick" has been inserted.
Cannot record images
with the flash.
The eyes of the subject
come out red.
The date and time are
recorded incorrectly.

Cause
• The smear phenomenon is occurring.
• The capacity of the "Memory Stick" is full.
• The write-protect tab on the "Memory Stick" is
set to the LOCK position.
• You cannot shoot while the flash is charging.
• The mode dial is not set to
shooting a still image.
• The mode dial is not set to
moving picture.
• The mode dial is set to
