LCD screen/viewfinder
An unknown image appears on the LCD screen or viewfinder.
• The camcorder is in [DEMO MODE] (p. 75). Touch the LCD screen to cancel [DEMO
MODE].
An unknown indicator appears on the screen.
• A warning indicator or message appears on the screen (p. 103).
The image remains on the LCD screen.
• This occurs if you disconnect the DC plug or remove the battery pack without turning off the
power first. This is not a malfunction.
The buttons do not appear on the touch panel.
• Touch the LCD screen lightly.
• Press DISP/BATT INFO on your camcorder (or DISPLAY on the Remote Commander)
(p. 29).
The buttons on the touch panel do not work correctly or do not work at all.
• Adjust the touch panel ([CALIBRATION]) (p. 116).
The image in the viewfinder is not clear.
• Move the viewfinder lens adjustment lever until the image appears clearly (p. 29).
The image in the viewfinder has disappeared.
• Close the LCD panel. No image is displayed in the viewfinder when the LCD panel is open
(p. 29).
"Memory Stick Duo"
You cannot operate functions using the "Memory Stick Duo."
• Insert a "Memory Stick Duo" into your camcorder (p. 32).
• If you use a "Memory Stick Duo" formatted on a computer, format it again on your
camcorder (p. 62).
Images cannot be deleted.
• Release the lock on the write-protect tab of the "Memory Stick Duo" if there is one (p. 112).
• The maximum number of images that you can delete on the index screen at one time is 100.
• You cannot delete the images protected on another device. Release the protection of the
images on the device which you protected the images.
