Witbox
Basic glossary
LCD screen: Backlit blue screen that displays information regarding the status of

the device.
Control wheel: Metal wheel used for scrolling through the menus.

SD card slot: Slot located inside the printer at the rear of the control panel, where
3
the SD card is inserted.
Print base: Rectangle of thick glass onto which the object is printed.

Hot-End: Metal part through which the melted plastic is extruded; so called because
5
it reaches high temperature during operation.
Extruder: Device comprising the Hot-End, the filament-feeder motor and the fan.

Filament spool: Spool of thermoplastic material with a thickness of 1.75 mm.

PLA: The material that the filament is made of.

Spool holder: Metal part that supports the filament spool, located at the rear of the

printer.
Fibonacci guide tube: Plastic tube that guides the filament towards the extruder. Its
10
shape allows it to adapt to the movement of the printer and protects the filament.
Power socket: Located at the back of the printer towards the bottom.

On/Off switch: Dual-position switch for turning the Witbox on and off.

USB port: Connector for the USB cable; located on the right-hand side of the printer.
