KOMET MicroKom BluFlex ® 2

Tool assembly

During tool assembly, the indexable insert must be point-
ing towards the cutting edge illustrated here.
Maximum permissible rotation speed = 20,000 rpm
Prerequisites – valid with slide centred and with boring
bar B05 20100.
The permissible rotation speeds depend on the tool used
(mass and type) and the slide controller.
The speeds must be adjusted to suit the machining
application and its conditions.
Precision balancing is recommended.
Tools with aBs® connection
All existing ABS32 tools for precision machining applications can be used in
conjunction with the MicroKom BluFlex ® 2 precision drilling system.
ABS® tools are clamped by means of securing screw 8.
"Fasten" securing screw
to prevent it from falling out.

Tools with cylindrical shank
Flexibility in projection length: boring bars B05 support variable clamping
lengths. These should not be placed on the bottom of holes.
Boring bars can be axially extended to a maximum of 9 mm. Clamp the
boring bar with the screws

Boring bars with parallel shank: DIN 1835-B and E only suitable provided
certain conditions are met; DIN 1835-A possible.
