Product Purpose
The 520-10SWI3 is the ultimate solution in terminating a DS1
High Capacity Digital Service (HCDS) at the customer prem-
ises. The 520-10SWI3 is a multifunctional unit that can be
configured as an Office Repeater, a Line Repeater, or as an
NIU. The 520-10SWI3 is typically located on the network side
of the demarcation point between the Network (NET) and the
Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). One of the primary
functions of the 520-10SWI3, in any configuration, is signal
loopback. Loopback enhances maintenance operations by al-
lowing the network to remotely sectionalize problems,
resulting in improved customer service. The universal func-
tionality of the 520-10SWI3 results in simpler and faster
installations of DS1 services as well as providing general sav-
ings in inventory.
