  • Page 6 • To turn off the power, the ON/OFF button should be de-pressed and held for 3 seconds. First use of the Barista Espresso Coffee Maker • Remove the water tank (N), wash with warm soapy water, rinse and dry. Fill the water tank with fresh drinking water.

  • Page 8 Making an Espresso Coffee With appliance prepared as identified in pre-heating above, ensure the coffee is ground before inserting it into the porta filter. Caution: The portafilter and coffee basket will be hot. Caution: Vibration from the pump can cause the cup position to move. Always monitor the cup position and flow of coffee.
  • Page 9 Note: The steam function will switch off automatically after 3 minutes.  Check that the controls are in the initial position, Pump Off and Mode switch set to <<coffee>>.  Turn the appliance on and operate the pump switch (B). Turn the pump off immediately when water flows from the portafilter.

Failure to descale the product can result in reduced water flow, a poor coffee making experience and product damage. Use a household descaling product recommended for coffee makers or water heating appliances.
