INITIAL S ET UP
CONNECT SOURCE DEVICES
1
Connect your source devices into the input ports using a High Speed HDMI cable or better (not
supplied). It is recommended to connect devices from Input 1 to Input 8, although you can
connect them in any order you wish.
CONNECT SINKS
2
Sink devices are connected to ports 1-8 via category cable from the Output port to the
supplied receivers. Complete the connection from the receiver to the Sink device (i.e. your TV)
via a HDMI cable. Via the HDBaseT connection, the system allows a maximum of 150 meters for
1080p video and 100 meters for 4K.
For Output ports 9 and 10, connect sink devices directly via high speed HDMI cables. Once
all connections have been made, turn the matrix on by connecting the power supply to the
mains and toggling the switch on the rear of the unit.
CONNECT INFRARED
3
Using the supplied IR pairs, insert the IR Emitter (matt finish) into the relevant Infrared Out port
(for example Out 1 for Input 1) and attach the bud to the front of the source device, over the
IR window. On the sink device (i.e TV) place the IR Receiver (shiny) in a visable location on the
underside of the device and plug the end into the RX port on the receiver. Each IR port has an
LED which flashes Red when IR is transmitting and flashes green when IR is being received. For
more information see fig2 on the previous page.
CONNECT RACK EARS
4
You can mount the system either at the front or back with the supplied rack ears. Simply screw
in the supplied M4 screws to connect the rack ears to the matrix.
NETWORK CONNECTION
5
This system is designed to be on and connected to an active internet connection at all times. It
will operate correctly when not connected to a network (or the internet) but certain functions
will not be available. Connect a standard Ethernet cable between the ethernet port and your
router/network switch, cross over cables are not supported.

AUD IO SET UP
The Palladia gX supports two primary modes, Source mode and Sink mode. By default the
system is configured to operate in Source Mode whereby Zones I and J are not used.
SOURCE MODE:
In this mode, the audio received via the corresponding input port is always provided via the
down-mixed 2ch RCA connections AND the Digital outputs in the original Dolby 5.1 bitstream
formats.
SINK MODE:
In this mode, each audio output matches the audio sent to the corresponding Output. In addition
when the Sink device connected to the Output is consuming local content (for example, built-in
Netflix App), if possible via ARC or Optical Audio Return, this audio is rendered instead in the
corresponding Audio output ports. In all scenarios the RCA ports provide downmixed 2ch
Audio.
AUDIO DELAY AND VOLUME CONTROL:
When in Sink Mode, each port may be modified to adjust the Audio Delay to resolve Lip Sync
issues and also adjust the Volume Level (Loudness). If the connected Sink device supports CEC,
then adjusting the Volume level on the Sink device will adjust the volume level on the matrix.
