Using the Mother Transmitter
This section provides detailed information about how to program and use a Mother
Transmitter. The following table provides information about the different Transmitter Modes

To program a Mother Transmitter with RFT banding material

Fasten the Mother Transmitter onto the mother..
The Mother Transmitter automatically enters link mode .
For information about Fastening the Mother Transmitter, see pg.6.

Bring the infant with a fastened Infant Transmitter within 10 to 12 inches of
the Mother Transmitter to link the two.
When the Mother and Infant Transmitters are successfully linked, the Green
LED on the Mother Transmitter illuminates and sounds a single beep.
NOTE: If the Mother Transmitter is not linked with an Infant Transmitter
within 2 minutes from the time it is fastened, you must tap the Mother
Transmitter once to reactivate Link Mode.

Tap the Mother Transmitter again to end the Link Mode.

To verify that the transmitters are linked, place the infant within 10 to 12
inches of the Mother Transmitter.

Tap the tag and wait for the Green LED.
If a Red LED flashes three times and the Mother Transmitter beeps three times,
then there is a mismatch.
Follow your facility's established procedures in the event of a mismatch.

Tap the transmitter 15 times within 6 seconds to clear or reset the transmitter.

WARNING: If a Mother Tag's banding material is cut, the system
issues a cut band to the Client computer and waits 30 minutes for
Mother Transmitter to be rebanded. If the band is not repaired, the
system automatically removes the mother from the system.
