Self characterization

WARNING: The self characterization function will cause the motor to operate. Always
ensure the vehicle is jacked up, with the driving wheels off the ground and free to turn
before starting the test.
The motor self-characterisation process allows a user to determine the electrical parameters
required for efficient control of AC induction motors using a Gen4 controller connected to a PC
or laptop running characterisation software. For further information, please contact your local
Sevcon representative.
