    Attaching and Detaching the Eye Tracker to Laptops and Tablets To ensure quality in eye tracking data, the Pro Nano hardware package include mounting plates that can be affixed to a laptop or a tablet. You can easily snap the eye tracker on and off the laptop or tablet by using the magnetic mounting plate.     Scratches on the front surface of the eye tracker may impair its performance. Disposing of Pro Nano Don’t dispose of the Pro Nano eye tracker in general household or office waste. Follow your local regulations for disposal of electronic equipment.

  • Page 13 You can also choose to analyze the data only for the eye that successfully calibrated. For Pro Nano you get only one vector for the calibration results, thereby providing information on the average esti- mated accuracy, but not on the estimated precision.

    A fresh update notification is indicated by a tiny red bell on an empty Eye Tracker tile. You determine what firmware version you use in your connected Pro Nano(s) by installing the desired driver version in your com- puter. Use the Eye Tracker Manager’s “Install or Update Eye Trackers” functionality to check available releases.

    Set up the projector and connect it to the laptop. Mount the Pro Nano eye tracker on a separate tripod and connect its USB cable to the laptop. Place the participant 45–85 cm from the eye tracker. Use the positioning guide in the Eye Tracker Manager to determine whether the eye tracker can detect the participant’s eyes.

    W. A USB 2.0 ports typically outputs 2.5 W. If, for some reason your computer USB 2 port doesn’t provide enough power to the eye tracker, the Pro Nano will not work. In those rare cases, we recommend connecting an external powered USB hub be- tween the computer and the eye tracker.

    The Tobii Pro Nano should be mounted according to the instructions of the approved mounts used. Tobii AB or its agents are not liable for damage or injuries to a person or its property due to the Tobii Pro Nano falling from a mounted configuration.

    C1.6 Environment The Tobii Pro Nano system is designed for use in dry indoor environments. Avoid any exposure to direct sunlight as this will affect eye tracking quality and longer exposure can overheat the equipment. Avoid exposure to any liquids, gels, moist, rain, sweat or other damp materials or environments.
