FUEL DELIVERY TESTS
A
WARNING
Protect against hazardous fuel spray.
Before starting any fuel system service,
carefully relieve fuel system pressure.
Refer to Relieving Fuel System Pressure on
p. 142.
Check the
Evinrude
Occurred Faults screen for curren t service codes
before troubleshooting. Correct any problems and
clear the codes FIRST.
Inspect all fuel hoses, filte rs, and co nnections.
Check quality of fuel supply.
Fuel Pump Static Test
Use the Evinrude Diagnostics software Fuel Pump
test to activate the electric fuel pump. If the pump
runs, the EMM a nd fu el pump circuit are not at
fault.
Do NOT perform static tests using
IMPORTANT:
Diagnostic Power Supply T ool, P/N 587005, with
internal 9 volt batt eries only . This will produce
false results. Refer to Communication on p. 63.

Fuel Injector Static Test
Use the Evinrude Diagnostics software Fuel Injec-
tor Static Test to activate each fuel injector. Listen
for an a udible click from each injector when it is
actuated. If the injector activates, the EMM an d
injector circuits are not at fault.
Do NOT perform static tests using
