When unpacking, check to make sure the following parts are included. Refer to the Kit Parts
photos on the last page of this manual.
Car, Radio Control Unit, AA Battery Holder, AC Adapter, Charger Stand, Battery Pack.
If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number on the
cover of this manual as soon as possible.
The battery does not come charged from the factory. Charge before using. After use, re-
move the Battery Pack and allow it to cool down before charging.
1.
Plug the AC adapter cord into the charger stand. See photos below.
2.
Insert the (Nickel Cadmium) battery pack into the charger base. The battery can only
insert one way.
3.
Plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet.
4.
Verify that the red charging indicator light (A) comes on. If it does not come on, check
the power connection or try a different wall outlet.
5.
Charge battery for approximately 4 hours. Never more than 5 hours.
6.
After charging, unplug AC adapter from wall outlet.
7.
Insert the battery into the car battery compartment.
Note: the operation time of a new battery will ramp up as it is properly used and recharged.
Do not attempt to charge non-rechargable batteries.
