Taking Vital Signs Manually
You can send vital signs to your health care provider at any time. You do not have to wait for a scheduled
report time. You would normally use this feature if the monitoring care provider requests that you repeat a
test. Remember that vital signs may only be reviewed during the day, so if you send a reading in the middle
of the night, your health care provider may not look at the reading until much later. This is not an
emergency response device.
Before you take the first set of vital signs, ensure that you know how to use each piece of equipment. If you
have any questions about how to take your vital signs, contact your healthcare provider.
1. To take vital signs manually, touch the screen. The Vitals Now/Home screen appears:
2. Select Vitals Now. A screen similar to the following appears:
3. Select the icon for the vital signs you want to take. The icon(s) you selected are highlighted.
Note: This option should only be selected when your care provider asks you to re-take vital signs or
you are taking them for your information only.
