  • Page 2 Informationen zum Vorbild: In den fünziger Jahren wurde bei der Deutschen Bundesbahn die Elektrifizierung des Schienennetzes verstärkt fortgeführt. Dies hat- te zur Folge, dass ein erhöhter Bedarf an Fahrzeugen zur Montage und Wartung der Fahrleitungen anfiel. Die Bundesbahn beschaffte Fahrzeuge, welche auf Basis des Schienenbusses VT 98 (BR 798) entwickelt wurden.
