In REMIX MODE, the ECHO switch is a PRE
(fader) -

(EQ)
selector
for the input to ECHO SEND #1.
In MIKE or 'l'APE mode, the ECHO switch is used as a "WET" switch
to allow ECHO

When recording ECHO,
