ADDITIONAL RIDING MOWER WARNINGS
AND SAFETY RULES WHEN FRONT MOUNT BLADE/
SNOW PLOW ATTACHMENT IS USED
WARNING:
Your RYOBI electric riding lawn mower has been tested
for use with the Brinly Model FB-42RY Front Mount Blade.
This front mount blade attachment is not manufactured or
distributed by Techtronic Industries Power Equipment. To
reduce the risk of death or serious personal injury, user must
read and understand the safety information provided in the
operator's manual for Brinly's front mount blade/snow plow
attachment before assembling, installing, or using on your
RYOBI electric riding lawn mower.
WARNING:
Only use the front mount blade/snow plow attachment to
plow snow from paved or dirt surfaces from private walk-
ways and driveways and never operate the riding mower on
ice or on public streets where motor vehicles are operated.
Operating the riding mower on ice can cause the operator to
lose control of the mower or break through the ice and oper-
ating on public roadways can cause a collision with a motor
vehicle, which can result in death or serious personal injury.
WARNING:
The installation of the front mount blade/snow plow attach-
ment adds additional safety considerations when using your
riding mower. Inspect the area to be plowed carefully before
operating the riding mower with the front mount blade/snow
plow attachment. Avoid rocks, pipes, roots, curbs, drop-offs,
or any heavy obstructions. Check carefully for live electri-
cal wires or cords that can come in contact with and/or be
damaged by the blade and never use the front mount blade/
snow plow attachment in these areas or first have the wires
or cords safely removed. Obstructions that become caught
in the front mount blade/snow plow attachment can cause
loss of control or stability and possible rollover of your rid-
ing mower, which can result in death or serious personal
injury. Contact with or damage of live electrical wires or
cords can result in death by electrocution or other serious
personal injury.
WARNING:
Be especially careful when maneuvering with the front mount
blade/snow plow attachment installed as it can limit vis-
ibility. Lift the front mount blade/snow plow off the ground
when you are not plowing snow to prevent the plow from
becoming caught on the ground or other obstructions. Al-
ways look closely for small children, bystanders, and pets,
and maneuver the riding mower slowly to prevent rollover
accidents that can cause death or serious personal injury.
WARNING:
Slopes are a major factor related to tip-over and roll-over
accidents that can result in severe injury or death. Operation
on slopes requires extra caution, especially in snow. If you
feel uneasy on a slope, do not use the riding mower with
front mount blade/snow plow attachment on it. For your
safety, do not attempt to use the front mount blade/snow
plow attachment on slopes greater than 7.5 degrees. Make
a copy or cut out the slope guide image in this operator's
manual for your RYOBI electric riding lawn mower and use
to determine if your slope is too steep for safe operation.
WARNING:
Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to
comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do so could result in
objects being thrown into your eyes resulting in possible
serious injury.
NOTICE:
Before each use, inspect the entire product for damaged,
missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps,
etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not
operate this product until all missing or damaged parts are
replaced. Please contact customer service or an authorized
service center for the manufacturer of your front mount
blade/snow plow attachment for assistance.

the front mount blade/snow plow attachment. Operate the
riding mower and front mount blade/snow plow attachment
only in daylight or good artificial light for safe operation and
visibility by others.

comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do so could result in
objects being thrown into your eyes resulting in possible
