G-CODE TIMER
RECORDINGPROGRAMMING

Programming
on the VCR display
You
can programme
or confirm a G-Code
timer recording
on the VCR display even if
the TV is turned off.

Press the G-CODE button.
9 bars (-) will appear on the display,
If 6 timer recordings
have already been
set, the 9 bars (-) are not displayed.
Please refer to "Confirmation"
and
"Canceling"
on page 15.

Using the numeric buttons, enter the
Code number for the programme

a wrong number, press the
CLEAR button to delete it, then enter the
correct number,

Insert a videocassette
with
erasure-prevention
tab,
Make sure the tape is longer than the total
recording
time.

Press the G-CODE button.
The timer indicator (P_J) w ill light on the
VCR display and the VCR goes into timer
recording
stand-by mode.
Additional
settings
After pressing
the OK button in step 3.
Daily/Weekly
recording
Press the MENU/TV
button repeatedly
to
select:
"M-F":
for daily recording (Monday through
Friday)
"WK":
for weekly recording
(the same
programme
every week)
No display:
for one time recording
Note:
Daily recording starting on a Saturday or Sunday
will not be possible.
Changing the off time
Each press of the (CH+ or CH-) button will
change the recording
off time by units of 10
minutes,

Vote on sky decoders and recording

There arc at present two types of sky
decoders
available
in New Zealand.

Base Band Decoder
(no remote control
supplied,
older type).
You cannot successfully
record G-Code
programmed
using this type of decoder,
(Unless your video is modified
internally first.)
Contact Sky TV for details.
IRD
Decoder
(supplied
with Sky Remote and
with UHF output),
This decoder allows you to programme
recordings
using the G-Code function. You
can use the Sky CODE NUMBERS to record
Sky TV programmed
with your
VCR,
However,
please note the following
limitations,
(a) The Sky CODE NUMBERS used
with the
VCR can not change the channels on Ihc
Sky Decoder.
This means you must first preselect
the
Sky channel you want to record (movies,
sport, news)
(b)
The VCR will then turn on and record [1IP
progrnmrnc

for Sky. (e.g. progrornrrw
position "4")
The Sky chamml you record (rnowcs,
sport, news) will depend on which
channel the decoder
was left on.
(c) Remember
the first lime you use a Sky
CODE NUMBER, the programme
position
number
("PR")
on the video needs to be
set the same for all three Sky channels.
This will depend on the programme
position number you allocated for Sky in the
set up. ie programme
position number "4",
