4K Convert Modes

The following image conversions are performed when [Cut] and [Downconvert] are selected for [4K Convert Mode].
You can configure the [4K Convert Mode] setting in the [User Settings] screen - [Recording] tab. For details on this
setting, see "Configuring Recording Settings" (page 35).
[Cut] mode
4K t 4K conversion
• The input image is recorded with 128 pixels cut on both the left and right sides (shaded area in illustration).
• The image is output with black bars (128 pixel width) added to the left and right.

4K t 2K conversion
• The input image is recorded with 128 pixels cut on each of the left and right sides with its height and width reduced to
1/2 size.
• The recorded image is output as it is recorded.

[Downconvert] mode
4K t 4K conversion
• The input image is recorded in reduced size with its original aspect ratio and black bars added to the top and bottom (67
and 68 pixel height respectively).
• For SDI outputs, the black bars are removed and the image is expanded to its original resolution.
• For HDMI outputs, black bars (128 pixel width) are added to the left and right of the recorded image.
