Dryer Master DM510
Appendix 2: Complete instructions for
programming and wiring Omega TXDIN70-
24V Signal Converter
Forward:
This appendix contains instructions on how to use an Omega part number TXDIN70-24V signal
converter to share a dryer temperature thermocouple sensor with a Dryer Master DM510. Note
that the signal converter is typically provided already fully programmed.
Materials:
The following materials are required to accomplish this task:
1. Signal Converter, Omega part number TXDIN70-24V.(Green)
2. Programming/Display Adapter, w/ cable, (Black) Omega part number TXDIN70-
DISPLAY
3. Precision 250Ω resistor
4. Various hand tools and wire as indicated.
Procedure:
1) Mount the signal converter onto a DIN rail in the dryer panel.
2) If desired, mount the programming display to the DIN rail beside the converter.
3) Use the supplied USB cable to connect the display to the converter.
4) Use instrumentation cable to connect the converter signal output (terminal 5 (+),
terminal 6 (-)) and power wires (terminal 1 (+), terminal 2 (-)) to the Dryer Master as
shown in figure 1.
5) Using the appropriate thermocouple wire, jumper the thermocouple sensor signal
from the existing plenum temperature controller to the new converter. Connect the
positive wire (white) to terminal 15 and the negative wire (red) to terminal 14 of the
converter.
6) Install the 250Ω precision resistor inside the Dryer Master from the Air Temp
connector terminal "Temp" to terminal "GND".
7) Program the converter.
