The heat detector must be installed on the ceiling in the middle of the room, because heat rises to the ceiling of the room and spread horizontally.

    4.2 Function Control of the heat detector The TEST button is used to check the function of the heat detector. After pressing the key a very loud alarm will sound! Keep the heat detector at least an arm's length away from your body while pressing the TEST button.
