  • Page 20: Adjustments After Assembly

Drivetrain • The Pedego Conveyor is equipped with a gear sensor that will momentarily cut off the power to the motor allowing the next gear to engage smoothly. Take care to shift while pedaling lightly, shifting while under load can inhibit the internal gear hub from shifting to the selected gear.
  • Page 21: Hydraulic Disc Brakes

ADJUSTMENTS AFTER ASSEMBLY • The Pedego Conveyor has a low maintenance Gates Carbon Drive System. Proper belt tension is essential for optimum operation of the drive system. Lack of proper belt tension can cause the belt to slip or jump a tooth on the cog. Too much tension can damage the bearings in the rear hub, can cause the system to drag, or increase the wear of the drive system.
  • Page 22: Tire Pressure

ADJUSTMENTS AFTER ASSEMBLY Tire Pressure • The Pedego Conveyor comes stock with Schwalbe balloon tires for maximum rider comfort. Balloon tires are optimized to run at lower pressures while providing a lower rolling resistance than narrow, standard tires. The tire pressure can be adjusted between the range printed on the tire sidewall, but the optimum pressure is between 2 and 2.5 bar or 30 and 36 psi.
