    BEFORE USING YOUR BATTERY CHARGER It is important to understand the charger’s requirements. This section explains the charger’s electrical requirements and how to prepare a battery for charging.     USING YOUR BATTERY CHARGER OVERVIEW Using the battery charger is very simple. First, connect the battery and AC power following the precautions listed under “OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS”. Then select the appropriate BATTERY TYPE and BATTERY SIZE for your battery. The charger will then do everything automati- cally.

    A minimal amount of care can keep your battery charger working properly for years. 1. Clean the clamps each time you are finished charging. Wipe off any battery fluid that may have come in contact with the clamps to prevent corrosion.

    Connected light is not on. Indicator lights are lit in an erratic manner not explained in the “Using Your Battery Charger” section. All lights are off except the "Connected" light. The green CHARGED light turns on a few minutes or less after connecting the battery.
