CAPTURING STILL IMAGES

Set the camera to the still image
shooting mode (see page 59).

Take a picture.
1 Point the camera lens at the
subject. Slowly press and hold the
shutter release button halfway.
The area in the center of the LCD
œ
monitor comes clearly into focus,
and the focus icon ë appears in
the upper left corner (focus-lock).
If the Shooting Setting Screen
œ
(see page 45) or Shooting
Information Screen (see page
124) was displayed, it is exited.
The focus icon does not appear if
œ
the focus is set to telephoto å
or manual !, or during quick
shot shooting (see page 121).
2 Press the shutter release button all
the way.
The image is captured.
œ
NOTE
œ You can view the image captured on the LCD monitor by holding the
shutter release button down.
œ The stand-by indicator will flash red while the image is being written to the
memory. Another image can only be captured when the stand-by indicator
lights green again.
œ The camera is ready for capturing the next image after about 1 second.
