TURNING THE POWER ON/OFF

Turning the power on
When capturing images

Set the main switch to [á] or
[à].
[á]: The LCD monitor is used.
[à]: The LCD monitor is not used.

Turn the selector dial to [W], [Y]
or [X].

Press the power button.
œ The power turns on, the lens
extends and the standby indicator
next to the viewfinder lights.
œ If the main switch is set to [á], an
image appears on the LCD monitor.
When playing back images

Set the main switch to [Ô].

Press the power button.
œ The power turns on, and an image
appears on the LCD monitor.
