When mounting the rescue carriage, make sure that the counterpressure roller is pressed slightly
onto the rope with the brake lever and the catch engages with the toothed insert.
The locking screw, if needed, is turned only until the roller is not completely blocked.
If the counterpressure roller is blocked, the danger exists that the rubber will be damaged and the
counterpressure roller will lose its function.
The rescuer climbs to the device using the descent and ascent aid, shortens the stay rope to the minimum using the
rope shortener Grillon and attaches himself/herself to the stay rope below the rescue carriage.
For the rescuer's own safety, the hook of the additional stay rope is hanged on the overhead car cable (stranded
cable). This should be adjusted so that it runs loosely over the cable when moving and has no braking effect. But it
should also be made only as long as necessary.
