2. Installation Important Notes on Installation Be sure to read the booklet “Read this first” before installing the machine. Install the machine in a level, stable location offering good operating conditions. An unsuitable location can cause faulty operation or breakdown. Be sure to perform operations as specified by the instructions, and never WARNING touch any area not specified in the instructions. -

2. Installation Removing and Storing the Retainers Retainers are attached to protect the machine from vibration during shipment. When installation is complete, remove these. Under no circumstances should you move the Z-axis unit with your hands. WARNING Doing so may cause a breakdown. Z-axis unit Procedure Remove the tape on the front surface of the machine. Switch on the power. The initial operation starts. When the light stops flashing and remains steadily lit, initial opera- tion is complete. - Page 14 2. Correct Installation of the DWP-80S Driver Is Impossible (Listed as “Unspecified”) If the DWP-80S driver is not installed correctly, the installed driver will be listed as “Unspecified” on the computer. In such cases, perform the following procedure to reinstall the driver. - Page 48 Windows 8.1 Windows 7 Right-click on the “Unspecified” DWP-80S driver for the machine being used, and then click [Properties]. If the machine and the computer are not connected, no DWP-80S driver will be displayed under “Unspecified.” If no driver is displayed, turn on the machine and connect the ma- chine to the computer.
