Messages [Menu 2]

Service Centre [Menu 2-4-6]
In this menu, your phone asks to enter the address of your SMS center.
SMS center address is needed for sending text messages.

Alert Type [Menu 2-4-7]
The user can set how often the phone alert the user to the incoming
message according to kind of messages. : One Time, Periodic, Off
Cell Broadcast [Menu 2-5]
Cell broadcast messages are text messages broadcasted by the network
service provider to groups of GSM phone users. They provide general
information such as weather reports, traffic news, taxis, pharmacies, and
stock market prices. Each type of information has an associated
information type number. When you receive broadcast message, you can
read it according to following sequence:
1. When you receive broadcast message, it is automatically displayed on
the screen. (if your phone is in IDLE mode) If the message is so long
and cannot be displayed all in a screen, you can scroll it by pressing

2. After reading the message, press

3. And then your phone will store it until another message of the channel is
reached.

Read (Dependent to network and subscription) [2-5-1]
You can read the stored broadcast messages in this menu. (Your phone
stores only the last message of each channel).
1. If you select this menu, your phone will display the first message.
2. You can read it. If it is so long that cannot displayed in a screen,
scroll by pressing

[Back] to exit this menu.
