- Page 4 GETTING STARTED SHUTOFF MAIN AND INLET WATER SUPPLY AND DEPRESSURIZE BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION Basic tools and materials required (not included). Plumbing may vary. Other materials may be required. Pipe cutter Compression fittings for INLET and outlet/To household plumbing – ¾” NPT fittings x size of piping 3 ball valves and piping for bypass line set up PTFE Tape or paste (NSF approved for PVC)
- Page 5 Surge flushing: It is important to surge flush the SYSTEM prior to final connection/installation to household plumbing and use to prevent carbon media fines or carbon dust from discharging into the household plumbing and water appliances. Install temporary line at OUTLET of Sub-micron filter assembly to allow water to drain out BYPASS LINE valve should be turned off Slowly turn on the water supply line.
