Welcome to FireLite

Congratulations on your purchase of FireLite. FireLite is fast, small, light, and
portable. You can take it anywhere so that you always have access to your important
applications, files, and data.
FireLite connects to your computer with a FireWire cable. This means no external
power source (AC adapter or batteries) is required. FireLite is very easy to use; all you
need to do is plug it in and you are ready to go. FireLite works on both PC and
Macintosh computers, laptop or desktop.

About this User Guide

This guide describes how to install and use FireLite. For last minute information,
please refer to the readme file found on the FireLite Installation CD.

Features and Benefits

Your FireLite provides valuable features and benefits that will make your digital
lifestyle easier:
FireLite is small, thin, and light; you can carry it in your briefcase, handbag,
or pocket. You can easily move FireLite from one computer to another and
directly run applications, view videos, or play MP3 files.
FireLite is powered from the FireWire Bus. No external power supply is
required.
FireLite is hot-pluggable. You do not need to restart your computer when you
connect or unplug FireLite. The FireLite icon automatically appears on the
desktop (for Macs) and My Computer (for PCs).
FireLite has two FireWire ports so you can connect several FireLite drives
(with AC adapters) or other FireWire devices in a daisy chain configuration.
