When using the honing wheel never sharpen against the direction of the wheel, as the tool will cut into the leather.
6.5.
Preperation of leather honing wheel.
6.5.1.
Before starting to use the honing wheel impregnate the leather with thin machine oil, then apply abrasive paste, turn on the wheel and
spread the paste. this process will need to be done after about five to ten sharpenings or as required and will increse the life of the
leather.
