Lights (cont'd)
Headlight Motor Switch
Push the headlight motor switch
to raise and/or retract the head­
lights while they are off. The
headlights should be raised in
this manner whenever you intend
to use them as a passing signal, or
if there is a possibility of the
headlight motors freezing.
CAUTION: Do not operate the headlight motor switch if any­
one's hands are near the headlights.
NOTE:
• The headlight motor switch will not retract the headlights if they
are already turned on.
• If the headlights neither rise nor retract, they can be operated
manually—see page 96.
• If the headlights have frozen in either the up or down position,
remove all ice before operating the headlight motors.
Panel Brightness Control
W hen the light swicth is in either
of the tw o "o n " positions, the
intensity of the instrument lights
can be adjusted by turning the
panel brightness control knob.
