In accordance with FAA regulations, the ELT's battery pack must
be replaced after 2 years shelf or service life or for any of the
following reasons:
After the transmitter has been used in an emergency situation
-(including any inadvertent activation of unknown duration).
After the transmitter has been operated for more than one
cumulative hour (e.g. time accumulated in several tests and
inadvertent activation of known duration).
On or before battery replacement date. Battery replacement
date is marked on the battery pack and the label on the
transmitter.

Connects

switch/annunciator located on the copilot's instrument panel.
ANTENNA RECEPTACLE -- Connects to antenna mounted on
top of tailcone.
TRANSMITTER ANNUNCIATOR LIGHT -- Illuminates red to
indicate the transmitter is transmitting a distress signal.
MASTER FUNCTION SELECTOR SWITCH (3-position toggle
switch):
AUTO --
Arms transmitter for automatic activation
if
"G"
switch senses a predetermined deceleration level.
ON
Activates transmitter instantly.
Used for
test
purposes and if "G" switch is inoperative. The ON
position bypasses the automatic activation switch.
(The red annunciator in the center of the remote
switch/annunciator should illuminate).
