Understanding Roaming

Recognizing the Roaming Icon on the Display Screen
Your phone's display screen always lets you know when you're
off the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network. Anytime you are
roaming, the phone displays the roaming icon (
Note:
If data is attempted while Roam Guard is set to ON, the
request will not be completed. Please turn OFF Roam Guard
to use data on your handset.
Roaming Options
The following roaming options are available:
Sprint Only allows you to access the Nationwide Sprint PCS
Network only and prevents roaming on other networks.
Roaming Only forces the phone to seek a roaming system.
The previous setting (Sprint Only or Automatic) is restored
the next time the phone is turned on.
Automatic seeks Sprint PCS service. When Sprint PCS
service is unavailable, the phone searches for an alternate
system.
Roam Tab
The Roam tab allows you to enable or disable the Roam
Guard feature. When this feature is enabled, a pop-up
message is displayed if you try to make a call outside your
local network. You can also select these roaming options:
Sprint Only, Roaming Only, or Automatic.
