PLAYING VIDEOS

You can fi nd desired videos quickly using the thumbnail index view.
PRECHECk
• Insert the memory card. ➥page 27
• Press the Power (
1. Press the Play (
) button to select the Play mode.
• The thumbnail index view appears.
• In thumbnail index view, a video is displayed with a fi lm border and a photo is
displayed with its screen ratio.
• The thumbnail highlight is on the latest created or played fi le.
• When a video fi le is selected, the playing time appears on the screen.
2. Touch the ▲/▼/◄/► button to select the desired video, then touch the Ok
button.
• The Shortcut menu for playback is displayed and the selected video is played.
• When a playback is complete, the thumbnail index view appears.
• To return to thumbnail index view while playing, touch the Back (
Do not power off or eject the memory card during video playback. Doing so may damage the
recorded data.
CAUTION
•
Video fi les may not playback on the camcorder in the following cases:
- Video fi les were edited or renamed on a PC
- Video fi les were recorded by devices other than the camcorder
- Video fi le formats that are not supported

The built-in speaker and LCD screen automatically turn off when the component/AV cable is
connected to the camcorder. (When connected to external devices, volume adjustment should be
done on the connected external device.)
